INFORMATION 2012 NC STATE WOLFPACK MEN’S SOCCER
The Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes is
certified by the National Association of Academic Advisors
for Athletics. NC State was the first ACC institution to be
certified. The tutoring program, which employs over 80 tutors to
provide support to all varsity student-athletes is certified by
the College Learning and Reading Association.
Each semester approximately 40% of student-athletes are
scholar-athletes, earning a term grade point average above 3.0.
NC State leads the ACC in the number of postgraduate
scholarship award winners over the past 15 years.
The Case Academic Center, which is centrally located on
campus, houses the 12 full-time staff members of ASPSA
and includes tutorial spaces, quiet study area, and a
computer lab to access throughout the day.

2011-12 WAS A STELLAR ONE FOR THE PACK
ACADEMICALLY: A record 86 State student-athletes graduated in May and a
record nine student-athletes were named Academic All-
Americans. NC State was the only Division I program with two
women’s basketball academic All-Americans in 2011-12.
Three Wolfpack student-athletes were inducted into the
Zeta of North Carolina chapter of Phi Beta Kappa this
spring, one of the highest academic honors a State student
can earn.
Three NC State student-athletes were awarded ACC
postgraduate scholarships in 2012. In the history of this
program, NC State boasts the highest number of these
honorees among league schools.
A record number 381 student-athletes were named scholar-
athletes on campus (3.0 GPA or higher) in 2011-12
186 student-athletes were Dean’s List honorees, another
school record.
69 student-athletes were named to ACC All-Academic
teams.
